SUMMARY:Ombudsman Volunteer Training
DESCRIPTION:Ombudsman Volunteers are an essential part of our service to older adults and others who rely on a nursing home for their care and reaching out to their families\, and the broader community. Certified Ombudsman Volunteers with Pro Seniors are typically assigned to one or more nursing homes that are conveniently located for the Volunteer. The Ombudsman Volunteer gets to know residents in the assigned home(s) through routine weekly/monthly visits\, and makes sure that new residents are aware of our services and all residents know that they have rights. \nOur Volunteers make a difference in the life of each resident they visit!!! \nOur next training for Long Term Care Volunteer Ombudsman will start: \nSaturday\, January 9th\, 2016 10:00am-12:00pm Informational Meeting (provides an overview of the Ombudsman Volunteer role and aging network resources\, including Pro Seniors) \nSaturday\, January 16th\,2016 10:00am-3:30pm Session I – (Lunch is provided so please let me know in advance if you have any dietary needs) \nSaturday\, January 23th\, 2016 10:00am-3:30pm Session II – (Lunch is provided so please let me know in advance if you have any dietary needs) \nSaturday\, January 30th\, 2016 10:00am-3:30pm Session III- (Lunch is provided so please let me know in advance if you have any dietary needs) \nYou must attend all of the classes.
