Advice, Representation, & Justice for Ohio Seniors

Founded in 1975, Pro Seniors’ mission is to enhance the independence and quality of life of older adults by empowering them, by protecting their interests and by facilitating their access to resources.

Pro Seniors provides education, advice, advocacy, representation and justice for seniors in Ohio through our three programs, all provided at no cost to clients.  If your Medicaid application is denied and you don’t know what to do, if you are concerned about how your elderly aunt is being treated in a nursing home, or if your adult children steal your savings, we can help.

Legal Services

We have a Legal Helpline for seniors in Ohio to speak with an attorney for free.  We also have in-house attorneys.

Long-Term Care Ombudsman

Our ombudsmen are advocates for seniors and ensure that they are being treated with respect in their long-term care situation.  They help protect your rights and can connect seniors to needed services or agencies.

Ohio SMP (Senior Medicare Patrol)

Using a team of volunteers, Ohio SMP teaches Ohioans how to avoid Medicare fraud, scams and identity theft.

“With Pro Seniors’ continued assistance we are on course to ensure her safety, security, protection, quality of life and peace of mind.  We remain deeply and profoundly grateful to you as well as all other parties at Pro Seniors associated with her case.”

Rhonda Y. Moore Fellowship

Your gift to #CincinnatiGives will help to establish the Rhonda Y. Moore Fellowship, to engage students/recent graduates in hands-on learning with our attorneys, ombudsmen and administrative staff, to continue the important work of Pro Seniors.  Funds raised will provide a stipend to the selected fellow in support of their service hours for Pro Seniors.
