Founded in 1975, Pro Seniors’ mission is to help older Ohioans resolve legal and long-term care problems and fight Medicare fraud. Together Pro Seniors’ Legal, Long-Term Care Ombudsman and Senior Medicare Patrol teams empowered more than 19,000 older Ohio adults in 2024 though legal assistance, advocacy for long-term care residents, and outreach and education to prevent health care fraud. Pro Seniors’ in-house attorneys and Legal Helpline assisted over 7,900 older Ohioans. Pro Seniors made over 360 community education presentations, reaching over 34,000 seniors, their families, and caregivers, as well as the professionals who help older persons.

Staff Attorney (Full-Time)
Pro Seniors is looking for a resourceful, dedicated attorney who can work well with people from all walks of life. The attorney will represent older adults in a variety of legal areas — public benefits, consumer debt, housing, financial exploitation, and rights in nursing or assisted living facilities. In addition to direct client representation, this role will include legal education in the community, advocacy on systemic issues, and collaboration with partners at local, state, and national levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality legal assistance to older adults on a variety of legal issues.
- Engage in client representation, negotiations, and litigation.
- Participate in broad-based advocacy to address systemic issues affecting older adults.
- Collaborate with community partners and provide legal education to the public.
- Serve clients who may be experiencing financial instability, health issues, or other challenges, with empathy and professionalism.
